Robben Island Museum tour
Pick up at accommodation in Cape Town will be 1 hour before the boat departure. You will receive a shared transfer from your hotel in Cape Town to the Silo District where you will be escorted to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island Jetty. Here you will charter a shared boat to the Robben Island museum where you will be met by a resident Tour Guide who will conduct the tour of the Island. (Please note that our tour guide/driver will not be joining you on the tour of the Robben Island museum.) The entire tour lasts 4 hours which includes hotel pickup, the 30-minutes boat trip to go, a 30-minutes boat trip to return and the hotel drops off. For part of the tour, you will be transported around the island by bus, before you visit the prison cell of Nelson Mandela and take The Long Walk to Freedom at the end of the tour. Upon our arrival back at the Jetty, our Tour Guide/Driver will meet you at the entrance of the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for your return. You will then proceed to your second stop, Table Mountain.
V&A Waterfront
You could have your lunch at a restaurant nearby at Victoria and Alfred Mall or go shopping. Situated in South Africa’s oldest working harbor, the 123 hectares (300 acres) area has been developed for mixed-use, with both residential and commercial real estate. The Waterfront attracts more than 23 million visitors a year.
Table Mountain National Park
Table Mountain Day Tour – The top of Table Mountain offers spectacular views in all directions and gives a bird’s eye view of the city. The upper cable car station is situated at 1067 meters and the cable car floor rotates 360 degrees enabling visitors to take in the whole of the breathtaking views. Table Mountain has numerous pathways on top, viewing decks, souvenir shops, a self-service restaurant, and a coffee shop. The first established trail up Table Mountain, Platteklip follows a well-constructed trail up a deep ravine on the iconic front face of the mountain, passing cascading streams at the base and imposing rock that converges near the top. The route tops out near the upper cable station. After the ascent, traverse the length of the famous tabletop summit to the highest point on the mountain Maclears Beacon at 1087m for more breathtaking views of Cape Town City. Once you descend the mountain by cable car (weather permitting) after you will then be transferred back to your hotel.
